Manonmars Album on Young Echo Records

Manonmars has been around Y.E. circles for longer than most would assume. First transmitting via the airwaves at one of Young Echo’s infamous radio sessions back in 2012, he is a figure that could always be made out lurking in the shadows near the microphone, stepping through a thick cloud of smoke, holding a drink and putting soundboys to rest with an utterly deadly lyrical style and coolness. The perfect voice for Neek & Amo$’s obscure instrumental anthems, his style is free like the best of Jazz, and his wordplay is sharper than an architect’s pencil… Voiced by Manonmars and scored by O$VMV$M, the debut-proper consists of 14 cuts across a heavyweight slab of vinyl, with deadly sleeve photography shot by Paulina Korobkiewicz, and served with additional type & design by Joshua Hughes-Games. A masterfully executed long player that will only get better with each listen, the third release on Young Echo’s very own imprint has been the talk of the town for some years now - and we’re glad it’s here now, out in the world. You can get first copies via, or if you happen to be in Bristol - get down for the Young Echo extravaganza at the Cube Cinema this Saturday, all day & night, where you can get a copy direct, in exchange for a small handful of paper money. Last but not least - coming like an old Wu-Tang vid from the early 90’s, laced with extra Bristolian haze - check the video for Milk // Never… Directed, shot & edited by Jeremy Wiles & Max Kelan Pearce.
